About King's Gifts & Flower Shop

King's Flower Shop began operation in 1944 when Eulond and Albert King purchased Krumm's Flower Conservatory and moved it to their home. Eulond ran the business while Albert continued at "The Weatherford News" helping when needed. The business grew rapidly and Albert joined her full-time in 1951. A nursery and landscaping service was added. In 1953 King's became the first retailer in Oklahoma to grow chrysanthemums out of season.

Albert and Eulond's son, Don King, joined the family business in 1963 after graduation from college. The business outgrew its location and a new facility was constructed. King's celebrated its 25th anniversary by opening King's Gift and Flower Shop in 1969. In l982 Albert and Eulond's daughter, Sandy Ross, joined the operation. Today, Sandy and her son Scott Ross (Albert and Eulond's Grandson) are continuing the third generation of the King's tradition along with Helen Vowell, who joined the King's Flower Shop family in 1996 with over 20 years of floral designing experience.

Sandy regularly attends trade shows and gift markets to insure the most popular and unique gift items are in stock. Helen is well practiced in classical design, as well as the most modern trends in the industry. She continually updates her skills by attending floral design schools and seminars. Scott is new to family business, and is preparing to continue King's Flower Shop's high standards for the next 60 years.
